Sic Bo Strategy

The primary focus of Sic Bo strategy is to reduce the house advantage, lock in wins when possible and practice responsible bankroll management.

Sic Bo strategy cannot completely eliminate the house advantage but it does make Sic Bo a more interesting and (hopefully) profitable game.

Sic Bo Betting Strategy

Sic Bo bets have house advantages that ranges from less than 3% to nearly 19%. One smart and simple strategy is to stick with the bets that have the lowest house advantage. Small bets, big bets, odd bets and even bets all have an advantage of just 2.78%.

Combination bets, three dice total bets, doubles, triples, any triples and any single number bets should all be avoided in Sic Bo. Those bets have house advantages that start at 7.87% and go up from there. If you want to keep your money longer, stick with the low house advantage bets.

Sic Bo Betting Systems

Another Sic Bo strategy involves the use of betting systems. Betting systems are not inherently bad, but you should know that they don’t change the house advantage at all. The only thing betting systems do is change how much money you risk over the course of your gambling session.

One popular Sic Bo betting system is called the “Martingale System.” In this system, you are instructed to double your bet after every loss. The idea is that you eventually have to win and will recuperate all your losses when you do so. Unfortunately, this betting system is seriously flawed and it does nothing to change the house advantage. All it does is require you to risk more and more money.

If you want to use a betting system in Sic Bo, that’s your choice, but I don’t recommend it. All it does is force you to make bets that you might not otherwise make. Sic Bo betting systems don’t magically change your luck or turn you into a winner but they can be entertaining. Whatever you do, remember to never pay for any sort of “secret” betting system. Anyone who promises you guaranteed wins in Sic Bo is a scammer.

Locking In Your Wins

The only way you can guarantee a win in Sic Bo is to quit playing once you’ve already won. This is easier said than done, however, because it feels counterintuitive to stop when you’re on a roll. But remember: every roll of the dice in Sic Bo is an independent event. There are no such things as hot streaks in gambling.

One strategy Sic Bo players use is to set a win limit and then quit if they reach that limit. It sounds crazy to put a limit on your wins but it’s all too easy to give them right back to the casino. If you’ve spent much time in casinos, you can probably relate. By setting a win limit and then quitting when you reach that limit, you’ll go home with fat pockets and good memories.

Sic Bo Bankroll Management

Disciplined bankroll management is the key to having fun and making sure you stay out of trouble when gambling. A bankroll is defined as money you have set aside specifically for the purpose of gambling. This money should be kept separate from all your other money and it should be considered expendable.

The best way to look at gambling is that you are “buying fun” or paying for a good time. You are not investing your money for future rewards. Yes, it’s nice to win, but that is not a guarantee and it’s not a good idea to treat your gambling money as anything other than entertainment money. Any wins that come as a result of gambling should be considered a nice little surprise to go along with your evening of fun.

It also helps to size your bets according to your bankroll and risk tolerance. The smaller your bets are, the easier it is for your bankroll to absorb losses and keep you in the game. Some people like to place large bets and go for big wins but that also increases the risk of going broke. For some people, that’s not a major concern; it all depends on how attached you are to your gambling bankroll.
